Doug is a lifelong student of the theater and his dancing reveals a passion for performance. His bachelor's degree and college education are in the areas of vocal music. This background exposed him to a variety of dances, but he found WCS in 2001, and quickly accumulated wins across the country, accelerating him to the All Star/Champion level of national competition.

Doug has trained under some of the top names in the country and is a popular dance teacher, event instructor, judge and Emcee at regional and national level Swing events. He travels extensively throughout the year to a variety of dance events as well as hosting one of his own, the Spotlight Dance Challenge in January. He also is co-event director with Vivian Hahn for the Wisconsin Dance Challenge held in July in Greenbay, WI.
