In accordance with WSDC rules, a judge may not score their significant other. Unfortunately, Larisa Tingle did not notify the Chief Judge that she was scheduled to judge Za, her significant other. She judged Za in the prelims during the competition.
To ensure fairness for all competitors, we replaced her scores for all prelim competitors with those from the Chief Judge. These corrected scores are now reflected in the final results posted.
All negatively impacted competitors entry fees for the contest have been refunded.
We sincerely apologize to all competitors who were affected by this situation.
